Hire a unique historic venue in London

English Heritage is a wonderful organisation which cares for more than 400 properties in England to help preserve our heritage for centuries to come. In April this year the organisation will separate into a charity to be called English Heritage to run the National Heritage collection of historic sites and monuments, and Historic England, which will be a public body offering constructive advice and championing the wider historic envrionment.

The properties under it’s care range from Battle Abbey in Sussex which is the site of the 1066 Battle of Hastings, Ambleside Roman Fort in Cumbria where the remains of a 2nd century fort most probably built under Hadrian’s rule to guard the Roman road from Brougham to Ravenglass, Bolsover Castle in Derbyshire, Cleeve Abbey in Somerset with possibly the finest cloisters in England depicting monastic life 800 years ago, to some of the finest historic buildings that we know and love today – Dover Castle, St Peter’s Church in Barton-upon-Humber, Saxtead Green Post Mill in Suffolk to Hill Hall in Essex, to name but a few.
