Hotels – done. Conference centres – done. Castles in the country – done. When planning your next corporate event it can be difficult to find venues that are not the norm. At Best Venues London we love venues, but the more unusual and interesting the better and in recent years we have noticed a huge increase in sporting venues that are opening up their unique spaces for hire. Although from a diverse range of sports, these venues all are able to inspire confidence in their ability to put on world class events small or large.
Greenwich Yacht Club – located on the riverfront between the 02 and the Thames Barrier this is a surprising venue that is relatively unknown to most Londoners. For conferences there are two rooms which can hold up to 140 each and with views across the Thames there are many reasons to chose this venue for your next event. The Yacht Club also holds weddings, dinners and other social events, and is definitely one to remember when planning your next event.
Mercedes Benz World – just outside of Zone 6, but within the M25 is the sparkling home to Mercedes Benz in the UK. More than just a car showroom however, this is located within the famous Brooklands area, the original home to UK motor racing. An impressive range of venue spaces are available for meetings, conferences or dinners which can be augmented by one of the ‘race day’ packages available. Also on display within the venue are historic cars and Formula One cars which can be enjoyed by your guests.
Kassam Stadium – the home to Oxford United Football Club, this is an impressive venue about an hour away from central London. Able to cater to events large or small, this is a venue that offers fantastic transport links and rooms with stadium views. Conference capacity is 300 in the Exhibition Hall with a large amount of smaller rooms available for smaller meetings or breakouts.
Copper Box Arena – this is a fantastic space that gives you the opportunity to get up close and personal with one of the venues of London 2012. The Copper Box Arena was home to the handball, fencing and goalball in 2012 and is still used today as a sporting stadium with seats for up to 7500. Conferences can be held in the arena itself, with a seated capacity of 3000 and is sure to be a selling point for your event – not many conferences are held in an Olympic sporting stadium! Smaller rooms are also available for breakout rooms or smaller functions.
Kia Oval – last but not least, the Kia Oval is one of our favourite venues because of it’s fantastic location, sense of sporting history and choice of spaces for events. With car parking also available and modern, outdoor spaces this is a fantastic venues for events of all sizes. The home of Surrey County Cricket Club the fantastic facilities here can accomodate up to 600.
