Hidden away in a peaceful private square in Shoreditch, The Organ Factory is one of East London’s most unusual and characterful event venues. This beautifully restored Grade II listed Neo-Gothic building dates back to the 1840s, when it was originally built as a school, before becoming the workshop of Mander Organs, one of Britain’s most respected pipe organ builders and restorers.

Following an extensive restoration in 2023, the building has been transformed into a collection of distinctive event spaces, combining Victorian architecture with modern facilities. Original brickwork, soaring ceilings, exposed timber beams and magnificent arched windows give the venue a wonderful sense of history, while its flexible layout makes it suitable for everything from corporate conferences and product launches to private dinners, receptions and celebrations.

The venue offers three principal event spaces, each with its own personality. The Main Hall is the largest, providing an impressive setting for conferences, presentations, exhibitions and dining events. With generous ceiling heights, excellent natural light and blackout facilities, it also works particularly well for creative productions and branded events.

The Mill & Bar has a more relaxed industrial feel, with exposed brickwork, original Victorian features and a fully functioning bar. It’s ideal for drinks receptions, networking events and evening celebrations, while the beautiful Chapel Studio offers something completely different. Its dramatic Neo-Gothic architecture, high ceilings and arched windows create a memorable setting for smaller gatherings, private dining and special occasions.

One of The Organ Factory’s most appealing features is its private, south-facing forecourt. This substantial outdoor space provides a lovely setting for welcome drinks, summer receptions and outdoor entertaining, something of a rarity in this part of London.

Despite its historic character, the venue is well equipped for contemporary events, with high-speed internet, audiovisual facilities, catering options, a licensed bar and practical loading access. Organisers can also make use of different rooms throughout an event, allowing guests to move naturally between presentations, dining and entertainment.
