A fabulous central London venue for a fun, relaxed party
Carrie

The Refinery, in London’s famous Blue Fun Building, is a thriving bar and restaurant.  Fresh food at bargain prices is served daily here along with a vast selection of beverages, but the venue can also play host to lavish private functions.

The entire space can hold 550 people and can be hired exclusively, although obviously, this needs to be booked well in advance.  Of course, you can book tables for small groups of people here too, but depending on your numbers you have a wide choice of areas that are sure to suit your party needs.  The one that gives the best feeling of exclusivity is the mezzanine overlooking the bar.  Plenty of space for chairs and with warm, ambient lighting, this is a perfect place for a casual yet distinguished celebration.

If you’d like to entertain your guests, this is a brilliant place to do it.  Mixology classes are on offer, as well as wine and cheese pairing evenings, cupcake making, flower arranging and for the more strong of stomach – butchery classes.  Either way, you’ll still have often underestimated and brilliant fun at your disposal, as the venue has ping-pong tables!  Smokers will also be well taken care of, as there is a heated and comfortable outside area here.

The food here is honest, simple but well prepared and obviously of good quality.  There’s no pretense or stiff upper lip involved – the staff are friendly, the chairs have armrests, the drink flows readily.  All in all, this is a fantastic place for either a huge party or a small gathering.
