An historical meeting and conference venue in central London
Carrie

The Guildhall, built between 1411 and 1440, is one of London’s most famous and exquisite buildings.  It was originally designed to reflect the importance, wealth and stature of London’s elite under Elizabeth I’s rule, and in the 21st century, its glory is still utterly awe-inspiring.  Within the walls of this Grade 1 listed venue lie six magnificent rooms, all of which provide unique backdrops for both corporate and private events.  History is combined with the very latest in state-of-the-art, built-in communication technology, helping to ensure that corporate events are seamless and successful.

The Great Hall is the largest room, and is a vast and uninterrupted 585 sq m of floor space, looked upon by a majestic high-arched ceiling, lit by Gothic stained glass windows and incredibly detailed (and sometimes enormous) monuments to famous British heroes.  This is one of the highest standard venues for a grand formal dinner in the country, and can hold up up to 900 guests in exceptionally beautiful surroundings.

Underneath the Guildhall, you will find an even bigger surprise – the largest medieval crypt in London.  Versatile, unusual and atmospheric, there is a stunning vaulted ceiling built upon stone and marble pillars. It’s perfect for a themed ball, as with the simple addition of lighting, you can immediately colour scheme the entire space.

The Old Library and Livery Hall are Grade II listed, and beautiful examples of Victorian gothic style. Both these rooms are perfect for prestigious lunches, dinners and presentations.

The Guildhall Art Gallery is an airy, light and spacious area, ideal for smaller receptions and conferences.  The Basinghall Suite, which is a more contemporary and fresh space just next door to the Art Gallery, provides an excellent break out area, or is also ideal to hire for private business lunches or board meetings.
