Venue Info

Butlers Wharf Chop House is set on the banks of the River Thames, where, we are a study in all things British. From the understated design to every plate of food that leaves the kitchen, we embrace the very ‘best of British’ dining.

The location – in the shadows of the iconic Tower Bridge – is almost unsurpassed in London, making us a popular destination for both locals and visitors to our vibrant capital. The design takes its cue from an English boating house or cricket pavilion – guests can delight in the quintessential English charm we exude. The airy dining room, oak-lined walls, and solid Windsor chairs are modern yet traditionally inspired.

It’s on the plate, however, that our patriotic take on the traditional British kitchen can best be seen. Head chef Martin Kroon is passionate about the high-quality, sustainable produce, to such an extent that he even butchers all his own meat in-house and passes on his skills via butchery masterclasses held at the restaurant. Martin’s cooking is distinguished by its honest, apparent simplicity, and generosity. This comes through in all his dishes that we serve, from the simplicity of half a dozen Colchester natives to the delights of the famous ‘BWCH’ burger, spit-roast chicken, steaks from the chargrill and traditionally garnished seasonal game.

When planning a group lunch or dinner at Butlers Wharf Chop House, we celebrate the best of British with group menus from £27. Let us take you and your guests’ tastebuds on a hearty trip around the British Isles. The lively cheer of the restaurant overlooking floodlit Tower Bridge will ensure you all have a jolly time.

We are pleased to offer our à la carte menu for up to 12 guests. We can seat up to 14 guests at one table, and groups larger than this will be sat in the same alcove area over adjacent tables.
