The London Library is a truly spectacular building, with a range of function rooms available for private hire.  This historic place of learning is situated on St James’ Square, and offers both character and affordability, as well as style and efficiency.

Frequented by celebrity and literary heroes galore, the collections here are fascinating – and you can arrange a tour as a break out activity for your delegates, or as a treat for cultured friends.  It may not sound interesting to some, but some important historical books reside here, and your enthusiastic host won’t drone or be dreary – quite the opposite – this is a contemporary establishment in an antique shell, and the guides are certain to deliver a relatable and enjoyable yet highly informative tour.

Much like the collections, the function rooms here range from classical and highly detailed to modernist and hard-edged.   AV equipment is sparse, but the venue welcomes you to bring anything you need.

The Reading Room has tall windows framing picturesque views of St James’s Square, and books lining the walls.  Ideal for a banquet or board meeting, this private and welcoming room is both sophisticated and versatile.

Directly adjoining The Reading Room, The Art Room has been recently refurbished and provides a perfect break out space, or serves as a fantastic smaller exhibition space.

The Sackler Study features a beautiful open fireplace and a stunning bespoke table and chairs, and serves as an intimate and inviting entertaining space.

The Lightwell Reading Room is the most impressive in the building.  With a four-storey high ceiling featuring a huge skylight, this beautiful room has splashes of bronze and provides a really stylish and unique events space.
