Family run restaurant with private dining in Brick Lane
Carrie

The Sheba Restaurant has been a family-run business since 1974, and has established a firm reputation for excellent service, even better food, and a vibrant atmosphere.  In a prime spot on Brick Lane, this restaurant has been critically acclaimed and takes pride in its high standards.

An enormous list of magazines, guides and newspapers have written complimentary reviews about Sheba. In 2012, the restaurant won the title of the Best Indian Restaurant in Brick Lane, awarded by the UK Restaurant Guides.  It also claimed the title of Best Curry in East London from Fluid London.

Using only the best halal meat, fresh seafood and organic curry ingredients, the restaurant will often surprise you with enticing specials and imaginative new side dishes.  The staff are animated, entertaining and passionate, and we think you really can’t go wrong with stopping here for dinner before hitting the bars and clubs in Brick Lane.

You also have the opportunity to have private parties and corporate events at Sheba.  The entire venue has a maximum capacity of 120 split over 2 floors, but the flexible layout means you can host function for up to 90 people. Both of these two floors can be hired exclusively, and there’s also a private dining room that can seat 50.  Each floor has a fully stocked bar and large plasma TV screen for presentations, branding or image displays.

For such a famous and well-regarded restaurant, it’s nice to see that the place hasn’t lost sight of its humble roots.  There’s no dress code or element of superiority, and the décor is simple yet stylish.  A fantastic place for an informal reception, birthday party or a hearty meal before a night on the town, this restaurant is honest, inexpensive, and provides an energetic atmosphere alongside great food.
