Are you planning an important social or corporate event? Whether you’re a novice or experienced at event planning, you may not have realised that professional venue finders can make your life a whole lot easier. After all, how hard can it be to find a good venue, right?
Actually, if you really have to ask that question, maybe it’s time for a reality check. Here at Best Venues London, we have 20+ years business experience based on honesty and transparency, backed by countless positive reviews from delighted clients over the years – which puts us in a great position to clear up a few myths and misconceptions about the venue sourcing business.
Myth 1: We are perfectly capable of finding event space without outside help.
Well, that depends on the requirements for your event and how much in-house resource you’re able to allocate towards planning every detail of it. It’s easy to underestimate the time it takes to research, contact and shortlist potential venues, possibly in locations you are not familiar with. Without a thorough insight into the events industry, your staff may struggle to ask the right questions to ascertain whether a venue is truly suitable, or to negotiate a good deal.
With Best Venues London, our experienced event planners are ready to hit the ground running as soon as they receive your brief. Once we know what you’re looking for in terms of location, size, budget, facilities, ambience etc, we can spring into action and will find you suitable venue options, literally within hours.
You will have a dedicated team member who will liaise closely with you throughout the entire event planning process. They’ll arrange site visits, ask questions and check details on your behalf, and get you the best possible rates too. With venue finding outsourced, you can spend your valuable in-house time on other aspects of organising your event.
Myth 2: Venue finding services are ‘nice to have’; they don’t actually add value.
We would have to strongly disagree. How would you like to have an extra member on your team that you don’t have to train up, don’t have to supervise, and don’t even have to pay? Someone with vast industry experience, who knows virtually everyone in the events business, and has a near encyclopaedic knowledge of all sorts of venues – from cosy London Function Rooms to trendy Summer Party Venues, and even including unique and quirky event space you didn’t even know existed?
Far from too good to be true, it’s what Best Venues London have been doing for many years. Back then, we spotted a gap in the market and proceeded to build a highly successful business that brings together venues and those who wish to hire them. Finding and booking just the right venue involves a huge amount of work – but with our strong track record, exemplary work ethic and bespoke customer service, you can trust us to get the job done perfectly.
What’s more, we are an independent organisation with no commercial ties to any of the venues we work with. That way, we can dedicate all our efforts towards your individual event requirements, aiming to exceed your expectations.
Myth 3: Surely, there has to be a catch – is it the money?
It’s understandable to think that it all sounds far too good to be true. But there really is no catch. And as far as the money goes, Best Venues London won’t charge you a penny for our services. Not only that, but thanks to our excellent industry contacts and experienced negotiators, we can secure venue hire rates that are lower than if you booked direct with the venue. Using our considerable commercial clout, we have access to exclusive deals that aren’t available anywhere else. In other words, we can actually save you money!
As to what’s in it for us, there’s no smoke and mirrors here either. We operate a fair, commission based business model with the venues that we deal with. There’s usually no set finder’s fee; instead we receive a commission of around 10% of the value of the booking that is made as a result of our introduction. You will have to take our word for it when we say that we work extremely hard for our commission!
The events industry is a close knit community and we really wouldn’t be doing ourselves any favours using underhand methods or sharp practice. Rather, we’re focusing on maintaining high levels of trust and professionalism with the large number of organisations that we do business with. The results are commercially rewarding for everyone – the venue, the client and ourselves.
